Positioned as a new benchmark in the performance SUV segment, the BYD Sealion 7 is a fully electric five-seater powered by the renowned BYD Blade Battery. It offers an impressive driving range of up to 542 kilometers on a single charge while delivering exhilarating performance, accelerating from 0 to 100 km/h in just 4.5 seconds. The Sealion 7 first made its Philippine debut at the 2026 Manila International Auto Show, generating strong interest among EV enthusiasts. Reservations soon opened nationwide, culminating in its official Philippine launch during the BYD Tech Tour at Glorietta 4 Activity Center and its Cebu debut at the BYD Cebu IL Corso showroom.

The launch celebration highlighted movement, innovation, and the excitement of electric driving. Guests enjoyed live entertainment from the Y101 FM Rhythm Crew's Friday Gold Rush, while co-presenter OneRoot Hospitality raffled off an overnight stay for two at Club Serena Resort in Moalboal for reservation holders.
A special recognition was also given to respected businessman, author, and automotive enthusiast Bunny Pages, one of Cebu's earliest electric vehicle adopters. His journey with BYD began with the BYD Han before the brand officially arrived in Cebu and later expanded to include the BYD Tang, Sealion 6 DM-i, and Seagull for his businesses. Demonstrating his continued confidence in the brand, he was among the first customers to reserve the BYD Sealion 7.
Safety Features
Safety comes standard in the BYD Sealion 7, offering comprehensive protection and advanced driver assistance technologies. The SUV is equipped with eight airbags, ISOFIX child seat anchors, a 360-degree camera system, and front and rear parking sensors.
It also features an extensive suite of intelligent safety systems, including Adaptive Cruise Control, Lane Keeping Assist, Lane Departure Warning, Forward and Rear Collision Warning, Blind Spot Detection, Driver Attention Warning, Child Presence Detection, Traction Control System, Electronic Brake Force Distribution, and Hill Hold Control, among many others.
Complementing the 10.25-inch digital instrument cluster is a Head-Up Display (HUD) that projects key driving information directly into the driver's line of sight for improved convenience and safety. The Sealion 7 is also the first vehicle in the BYD Philippines lineup to feature a Driver Fatigue Monitoring System, which utilizes a dedicated camera to detect signs of drowsiness or reduced driver attention and provides timely alerts when needed.
