Vigan City will always be a special place to me. The nostalgic feeling of being in the Spanish Era sends me back to the time machine and triggers imagination of how filipinos lived at that time. It is just so nice to have this Calle Crisologo preserved especially for the new generation to have this diorama that can let our little ones experience the old times. Calle Crisologo is a long stretch of street where vehicles are not allowed to enter. You can either just walk or ride a Calesa for Php 100/ person.

Unusual it may seems for you to see prominent fast foods we know like Mcdonalds, Jollibee, Chowking, Mang Inasal and a lot more that is with the old spanish structures. You can still be excited to go inside these stores as it really gives a different feeling and mood.
Not only is Calle Crisologo our National Heritage but it is already part of the 7 New Wonders of the World. There are also hotels, bars and cafe along Calle Crisologo. I recommend a visit of this National Heritage during night time as it would maximize the feeling of being in the Spanish time especially walking in the cobblestones, with the yellow light lamp/ lantern in the whole street.
Another "must visit place" in Vigan is the Plaza Salcedo. It is a newly renovated plaza situated in front of the church and just few blocks away from Calle Crisologo. The dancing fountain and lights is the new surprise to our local/ foreign visitors. It gives you an enchanting feeling more beautiful than that of HongKong's symphony of lights in the Avenue of the stars or to the dancing lights of Manila's Ocean Park.

It is such a delight seeing this as one of a kind in the Northern part of the Philippines. It is really something that we, filipinos can be proud of. You can watch the show for free. It starts at 7pm towards 7:30 pm. If you missed it, worry not for it is a daily event to anticipate every night.
 Next stop for Vigan is the Baluarte of Mr. Chavit Singson. If you love animals, you will really enjoy this place as you will be able to see Mr. Singson's favorite pet- and that is the tiger.

Then we went to Bantay where the famous bell tower is located. It is the venue of the original " Ang panday" scene was taken.

Quirino- Banaoang Bridge
The last stop we went to before going to Baguio is the the Quirino- Banaoang Bridge. Our tour guide said that it was built as a gift of Imelda Marcos to her husband, President Ferdinand Marcos. Quirino- Banaoang bridge is located in Barangay Banaoang, Santa, Ilocos Sur. It connects the towns of Santa and Bantay and approximately twenty minutes away from the heritage city of Vigan.
