Since our contact person, Ate Sheilla Soliman is from Purok 3, Pandaquit, I was able to visit this barangay which is just across the two islands namely: Capones and Camara Islands.
When we arrived in this place, the sea condition is not conducive to sailing and crossing around the islands, the coastguards came in to announce the stopping of the bangkas to cross to the the islands. So we were left with no choice but to stay overnight in Pundaquit to take our chances to be able to cross early in the morning the following day.
We stayed in Nora's beach resort and the whole day we were able to go around this barangay.. nice place set near the sea that encourages surfing for people who loves adventure.
Nora's beach resort gives you a safe and a great place to stay overnight- an air conditioned room with own restroom. This beach resort fronting the sea gives you a cool cozy feeling of being out of town and spending your time in a far away place. With the hospitality and great customer service by the resort associates, we were able to enjoy our dinner with ate Nancy (one of the hotel employees), who agreed on cooking our fish and chicken that we bought in San Antonio market which we intended to be our 'baon' while on the islands.
Along with a lot of supposedly campers in the islands, most of them just built their tent in the shore of Pundaquit while waiting for the approval to get a boat to send them to Anawangin or Nagsasa coves. People were enjoying themselves talking and sharing stories sitting around a bonfire under the bright full moon.
The next morning, we were informed by ate sheilla that they are now ready to sail to Anawangin and Nagsasa. We cooked our breakfast first while waiting for the bangka and had it in Nagsasa while in a mat under a big tree.
