Foodpanda Expands to Naga City, Cebu: Bringing Convenience Closer to More Communities

Foodpanda, the online food and grocery delivery platform, has expanded its operations in Cebu, now serving customers in the city of Naga.

This expansion allows residents and visitors in the area to enjoy foodpanda’s services, including food delivery and pick-up options.

According to Snehasis Despande, Director of Operations at foodpanda Philippines, the decision to expand to Naga was driven by growing demand from both users and merchants. “We noticed that people in the area were already opening the app but couldn’t place orders since we weren’t operating there yet,” Despande shared.

Similarly, partner merchants have seen business growth through their collaboration with foodpanda. “Our partner vendors often request us to expand to locations where they have other branches, as they view foodpanda as both a marketing tool and a revenue generator,” Despande added.

Foodpanda’s logistics provider, Delivery Hero Logistics Philippines, Inc. (DHLPI), supports this expansion by working with freelance riders, offering delivery options via motorcycles, bicycles, e-scooters, and even walkers. “These diverse transport modes ensure efficient deliveries while creating flexible earning opportunities for the local driver community,” Despande said.

Beyond Cebu, foodpanda is also extending its reach to Dagupan, Batangas, Nueva Vizcaya, Pampanga, and Bulacan, as part of its ongoing expansion strategy.

“We continue to evaluate the needs of various regions, cities, and municipalities to identify areas with growing demand from customers and merchants,” Despande emphasized. “Our goal is to bring fast and convenient delivery services to these communities.”

To mark its launch in new areas, foodpanda is offering introductory promotions such as free delivery for new app users, encouraging more people to experience its services.
