Then it would be a pride for us to show the tourists that the Philippines is gifted with fertile soil where Cacao trees would grow just anywhere. Take for example, our Cacao garden in Shangri-la's Mactan Resort and Spa. Our Cacao Trees growing in the shore of the beach of Mactan. I can't wait to show it in our virtual tour this September 26, 2020…," says Miss Raquel T. Choa.
As part of the Beyond Chocolate series, this upcoming virtual tour on September 26 will focus on the four-year-old Shangri-la's Mactan Resort and Spa's Cacao garden where it displays the authentic kitchen wares of our Chocolate Queen which she used for her first roasting and pounding of Cacao like her "Caja", "lusong and aljo" , and etc. The tour would be from the garden to the Chocolate Chamber boutique of Shangri-la's Mactan Resort and Spa. You wouldn't like to miss this day of the Chocolate Queen and the Spiller of the beans together imparting the Filipino's pride of our very own chocolate.
A fee of Php 550 will be charged per participant to join the one-hour virtual tour. Virtual tourists will receive The Chocolate Chamber Natural Fertilizer, cacao seedling, and a featured product of TCC which is the Tablea roll. For virtual tourists outside the country, they can give it to TCC’s recipient and the Tablea will be shared with the front-liners who are sacrificing to fight against Covid-19.
