A friend invited me for dinner in this old spanish house of the Castillo's of Cebu located at Sanjercasvil Road, Gorordo Avenue, Lahug, Cebu City. I gave in to the invitation. Lo and behold! I was deeply surprised of how beautiful the place is and not to mention - the very courteous and friendly attendants of Circa 1900.

Circa 1900 is an old spanish house, renovated and turned into a classy, impressive restaurant by Primary Homes. Emblazoned with old images of the historic Cebu, it adds more to the nostalgic feeling of being in the 19th century. it's more of bringing you back to the past- during the Spanish Era. Pictures of the old streets and buildings are hanged on the white painted walls. Two private rooms and a  big door leading to the veranda that gives you an overlooking scene of Lahug.

We had call for a reservation at their contact no. 032- 239 6265 and indeed we had our table reserved near the grand piano just enough for us to really experience the elegance of the place.

We were served my a woman named Lori, She seemed to know about almost everything. Including the history of the place and the family who owned the house. She even offered a tour of the place as she shared to us stories behind the place and what they offer during weekends. Circa 1900 has barbecue buffet during sundays.

Lastly, if you did not bring your private car in going to Circa 1900, you need not to worry at all, as Circa 1900 offers free ride to JY near Metrobank, Lahug.
