The Plaza Lodge - Baguio

Heated Pool at The Plaza Lodge

I’m definitely mesmerized by this beautiful and homey place that you can get for a long-deserved staycation. Such a great deal to have a modern yet very comfortable stay with the best view you could ever get in Baguio (pine trees and city lights).

Located in the most strategic place, three minutes away from Country Club and Camp John Hay - The Plaza Lodge is home to tourists both local and international who want to get the best experience in the City of Pines.

From The Plaza of Bataan, now The Plaza Lodge of Baguio and soon to rise, The Plaza Gardens in Marcos Highway.

The view from The Plaza Lodge

I was given this opportunity to experience The Plaza Lodge for a night. My stay was exceptional. Why?- it’s because I felt very welcomed. The service was very exclusive. I am not speaking to myself alone but to all their guests (I also have other friends coming over that night- and they felt it too). Wherever you go - in the elevator, hallway, pool, or even in the gym, their hotel associates never fail to give their genuine, courteous smiles at you. Whose heart will not melt with this kind of welcome? Indeed they are true to their claimed hashtag:

                                                        #ServingWarmSmilesIntheCityofPines.

Allow me to describe Plaza Lodge in as much detail as I can.

Let me start with :

Hotel Lobby
  • HOTEL LOBBY: I have one word that best describes it, and that is COZY - when you enter the lobby, the aroma of the coffee from their Pines Cafe on the right side of the lobby welcomes you in… giving you the “Baguio feels” - gives you a sense of relaxation and security. As you set foot in, all you get are the smiles from the hotel associates.

Room Amenities
  • ROOMS: Each room is perfectly designed and structured to give you a spacious and comfortable stay. Well lighted and ventilated. What I love most is their veranda which allows you to inhale the fresh air and the smell of the pine trees. The room includes a percolator, coffee, tea, 2 bottled water, a vanity kit, and toiletries.
  • HEATED POOL:  This is my favorite! A heated swimming pool is very ideal in this cold Baguio weather. What’s best about their pool on the 8th floor is the overlooking view. It’s very perfect for chilling. Just take note, you have to inform the front desk ahead if you want to go swimming so they can turn on the heater. It's open from Tuesdays to Sundays.

  • GYM: Their gym is compact but with enough space exclusive for the in-house guests. It has new and clean pieces of equipment. The stunning natural scenery from the glass walls gives you energy and motivation to keep going on your work out.
The Pines Cafe

Kyoto

Kyoto - The Japanese Restaurant

The Benguet Hall
  • RESTAURANTS: For now, they have their Japanese restaurant called Kyoto, Pines Cafe in the Lobby, and their Benguet Hall where their Buffet breakfast is served.

  • FOOD: I believe, all of us, wherever we go, we are very expectant of the food served to us. We are very particular about the choices and the taste of the food. Often times the food served in the hotel becomes our basis whether we would want to come back or not. Well, for The Plaza Lodge, I can confirm that you will not be disappointed because they not only have a wide array of food choices but also the taste is superb.  It’s worth every penny spent.

  • ROOF DECK: This is the perfect spot to get a glimpse of the beautiful sunset in the City of Pines.

  • FUNCTION ROOMS: There are two big function rooms in The Plaza Lodge. There is one on the ground floor and another on the 8th floor which has an overlooking view of the City. For the VIP meetings, there is one boardroom situated on the 8th floor too. You may call them for further inquiries, contact details are provided at the end of this post.

Their steak house at the roof deck will be opening soon. The roof deck boasts both alfresco dining and Igloo huts to enjoy your steaks - something I am looking forward to from the Plaza Lodge.

Hopefully, the information I have shared with you has convinced you to choose The Plaza Lodge on your next visit to Baguio.  The Plaza Lodge is worth your time, money, and vacation. It is a perfect rating for me, And definitely, a must-try staycation!
