Amorita Resort

A recent winner of the 2017 Condé Nast Johansen Excellence Award for Best in Service, as well as being a regular Trip Advisor Traveller’s Choice Awardee, Amorita Resort is considered a top destination, not just in the country but also in the world.

An undisturbed elegant place situated on top of a limestone cliff, overviewing the beauty of a long stretched white sand of Alona Beach, awakening the crystal blue waters along the shore of the beautiful Panglao.

It was a great day for me to start with,  as I am all packed up for my two nights visit to Bohol. So without further ado, I set myself to sail from the port of Cebu and after two hours, I'm finally back to Tagbilaran City after five long years.

It was a dream trip that I ever needed for this week of soul searching and a time of wallowing my alone time and being away from my comfort zone so seize the day - as what I have reminded myself.

Amorita's infinity pool

True to its name  Amorita Hotel holds the title of "my little love". It reserves to be the best place for a tranquil retreat that marries world-class service with signature Filipino hospitality.

Amorita was recently recognized as one of the top 10 Asean Green Hotel awardees whose efforts met the criteria set by the body's tourism standard. The Asean Green Hotel Standard is intended to establish a professional "green hotel operation" that includes an environmental plan benefitting not only the hotel itself but its environment and communities.

On the other hand, Panglao Bohol, Philippines is known for its beautiful white sand beaches, clear blue waters and a great venue to witness the exquisite view of the magnificent sunset.

Amorita's overlooking view

From the moment our van entered Amorita Resort, I was surprised of the hotel's guests service associates giving us big smile on their faces,  so excited to welcome us. And as we stepped out of the van, they enthusiastically greeted us with a plumeria (kalachuchi in our term) and as we moved towards the lobby, their guest services associates eagerly handed us a warm face towel to wipe our face to refresh us. I couldn't stop myself from being overwhelmed with how grand they are in celebrating our presence.

I couldn't stop myself from being amazed by the beautiful place that I am about to enter. The infinity pool facing the stunning view of the beach. Amorita Resort already catches my heart from this very first time.

With no delay, the manager with Miss Kata handed us the registration form and assigned us to our rooms. We can't wait to see how the rooms look like, so we agreed right away to control ourselves from the temptation of the pool and we headed to our rooms.

ROOMS:

We passed through the different types of rooms of Amorita. We were headed to one of the deluxe rooms on the third floor. I was very excited to take a peek of the eco-chic interiors of the room. It has two queen size beds with a classy glass window and a very comfortable couch. Their welcome food entices me too. Thank you, Amorita!

SAFFRON RESTAURANT:

Amorita's Resto that offers Continental and Asian food favorites and an excellent selection of wines and signature cocktails. This is where we had our buffet breakfast and dinner. It is highlighted by the dramatic poolside and ambiance and fabulous sea views that elevate guests' dining experience.

TOMAR TAPAS X BAR:

We were introduced to Amorita's Spanish restaurant, Tomar (which means to partake). It is situated at the second floor of Saffron Restaurant. It has an elegant sophisticated ambiance where we had our invigorating lunch together with Miss Katalene Agmata (One-Of Collection director of marketing), Mr. Noel Barrameda (Amorita's General Manager) and Miss Lyba Godio (Chief Operating Officer).

We also had the chance of tasting the dark chocolates of Bohol as facilitated by Miss Dalareich Polotone of the Bohol bloggers.  It planted to me a deep appreciation for our local chocolates more compared to the chocolates from other countries. These yummy chocolates are available at Amorita's souvenir shop.
