The Clash 2018

Today, February 17, 2018 - I had the chance to interview the only Asia's Songbird - Ms. Regine Velasquez who visited the Queen City of the South to give us a brief discussion about her new show in GMA 7 this year entitled  - " The Clash"

It is a singing contest open to all (from 16 y.o. and above)

When I asked Miss Regine the following questions:

What makes it different from the other singing competition?

Unlike the other singing contest that GMA has produced, the exciting part is pwede kang pumili sa kakalabanin mo na you think na kaya mo.. ganun yung concept kaya the clash

Who are the other judges in this show?

There's Ai- Ai Delas Alas, Christian Bautista and Lani Misalucha for the contest proper

but for the screening, we have Vehnee Saturno, Jay Durias, and Derek Bert De Leon

How long does this show last?

It's for fourteen weeks or one season

The Clash

 It is a singing contest that has an exciting new concept. If you wanna challenge yourself, pick the best contender... it's more of you as a singer, what you think you are capable of doing to be the best.

Nowadays you just don't join, they train you.. gaining so much more than just singing.. those are the things that are given to you for free. The biggest teacher you'll ever have is experience.

What made you say yes to this project?

It's an exciting project, they talked to me about this na since last year and they've been working on this for a year now.. Why would I not say yes, di ba? I came from there and it's nice to be there standing with the contestants because they know I can relate to them and they somehow feel at ease.. 'yun man lang maitulong ko sa kanila. it's an honor for me to be hosting this kind of contest.

It's an honor for me to be part of this show very soon… 

This show will be aired twice a week, malamang weekends. This is indeed a  good way of discovering new talents. 

Why Cebu?

Cebu is where we are holding the first public audition.. inuna na muna namin kung saan maraming magagaling. madami talagang magagaling dito.
